Catch series

I've been having fun trying to get shots of Zeb catching a toy. These are some of the better shots.

I love his face in this one. 

The ball bounced out of his mouth and I caught this just as his jaws chomped down on empty air.  What a face!

Sometimes I wonder about Zeb

This is how I caught him napping this evening.

Zeb strikes again!

I'm glad I can account for all the pieces, so I don't have to worry about him passing them. I need to get a secure container for the hamster food and treats now.

Zebshaming

Zeb has no interest in little critters, so Hazel the hamster is safe. Her food on the other hand...

Earthquake

We had an earthquake a while ago, but Zeb is clearly unphased by it.

Pillow thief

I found a great pillow for my neck. Zeb thought it was great too and started using it. I found another little pillow that worked great too. Now I often find one or both of them under him. Here he is with one of them again.

He brought me a shoe

I was playing fetch in the house a couple days ago. After several tosses, Zeb suddenly brought me a shoe instead of the ball. It took a minute to figure out why. Does that mean he's smarter than me? ;)

Border Collie Communication

Finished cooking pork chops and set them on a plate to rest and walked into the living room to find a dog dish in the middle of the floor. Zeb then dashed over and flipped it at me.

Zeb brought this to my attention by bringing me every food dish he could find. The herding dogs of friends have confirmed it. Mark your calendars. This will surely be an annual event!

I've started a photography project. 52 weeks of Zeb. Since I'm off to a late start, I'm omitting weeks 1-9. This was fun. I had evening light just before sunset and it cast a wonderful peachy glow over Zeb.
Next week's photo will probably be taken at the tournament. I won't be able to catch him racing, since I'll be busy running him, but I'll have great photo opportunities anyway.

The rains didn't stop us

We got out yesterday between downpours. This morning the storm had passed and left saturated ground behind. Zeb got a bit muddy, but he likes mud anyway.

I've suspected lately that Zeb likes mud, but tonight confirmed it for me. He went out of his way to get into the few mud puddles that remained.

It seems that all my photos of Zeb have a similar theme: Zeb standing or laying and staring at me. Its rare to get a side view of him. So, why did I pic this photo to share? A ladybug stole the scene. Can you spot it?

Here's another picture from our trip out during a dry spell. The wind was blowing his ears up, so he looks prick eared in this pic. I think he's cute no matter what his ears do.

Its another rainy weekend, but the rain let up enough for us to get out and stretch our legs. I enjoyed the scenery, Zeb would have preferred mud.
